It's time to gain some height. Climbing the Adelaide Oval is a feast for the eyes! Securely secured, you climb to an initial platform from which the view is already impressive. The more adventurous can climb to the panoramic viewpoint located 50 m above the ground, offering a 360° view of the city.

Just a few meters from Adelaide Oval stands St. Peter's Cathedral. Its façade, largely inspired by Notre-Dame, is adorned with stained-glass windows depicting the history of South Australia and biblical scenes. All around the building, a number of gardens invite you to take a short break.

Adelaide is also known as The City of Churches, so you'll be spoiled for choice if you want to visit Catholic, Anglican, Baptist or Lutheran churches and cathedrals.

Billed as the largest mall in the Southern Hemisphere, this pedestrianized shopping centre is the perfect place for a few hours' shopping. Next door, extend your afternoon at the Adelaide Arcade, home to more than 70 shops and a small museum.

The next morning, we take a short cruise on the River Torrens, which bisects the city. For thirty minutes, you can see part of the city from a different angle before arriving at the zoo and botanical gardens.

The afternoon is an opportunity to tour the city centre by public transport. Comfortably seated in a bus, you will discover Adelaide, passing by the Cultural Quarter, the Botanical Park and the historic district of North Adelaide with its mansions and historic buildings. A stop at the National Wine Centre of Australia gives you access to the Wine Discovery Journey Museum.
